To be “Planted and built up in Jesus Christ makes the youth Firm in the Faith”

The Parable of the two builders who made in the stone and in sand reminds us that there is a growing mentality of relativism which holds everything that is equally valid.

Pope Benedict XVI said in during the World Youth Day 2011 celebration in Madrid, Spain that the youth are the “Energy of the Hope. With your presence, the energy that you gives to the church renews and rejuvenate. Be like a plant of solid ground with deep roots, becoming a sturdy tree capable of bearing fruit”.
The truth and absolute points of reference do not exist. But this way of thinking does not lead to true freedom but rather to instability, confusion and blind conformity to the fads of the moment.
What choices are your choices on which you build your lives?
As Mother Theresa of Calcutta said; “It’s not a matter of sacrifice but it’s a matter of fruitfulness.”
We have to build a civilization of faith. To meet Jesus, to love him and make him loved: this is Christian vocation.
Mary was given to us to help us enter into a more authentic and more personal relationship with Jesus, through the example of Mary.
We, the youth must enter into a personal dialogue Jesus Christ and cultivate it in faith. We must know Him by reading the gospel and the catechism of the Catholic Church. And we must converse with Him in prayer. Place your trust in Him and He will not betray that trust.
Faith is a personal adherence of man to God. It is a free assent to the whole truth that God has revealed. In faith you will find strength to overcome weaknesses and to prevail over every adversity like the saints and martyrs of the church.
There have been, and still are many Christians who are living witnesses of the power of faith that is expressed is charity. In an age of globalization are witnesses of Christian hope the entire world.
How many people long to receive this hope?
If you believe and able to live out your faith, bear witness to it everyday, you will become a means of helping other young people like yourself, to find the meaning and joy of life which is burn of the decision to believe in Jesus Christ and to follow Him, is not an easy one.
Really, this is not an easy one for it is wandered by our personal failure and by the many voices that points us towards easier part. Do not be discouraged; look for that support of the Christian community, the support of the church.
In our daily living, we believe that God can be found in the experience of friends, etc. All of the ordinary is, in the same way, sacramental. In what ordinary way does God community with you?
Choose one and share. We have freedom! This is youth ministry, we must therefore orient itself towards new evangelization.
There are ten goals of the youth ministry. These are: Personal Growth, Relationship with Christ, Community building, Church relationship, Evangelization, Social Transformation, Service, Leadership, Formation Program and Youth Ministers.
These goals can help each and every one of us achieve what God wanted us to do, to serve our fellow youth. (Sara Nina Mateo)
