With the theme: “Cebu’s Youth: Standing Firm in the Faith, Doing all our Work in Love for Life”, the congress aims to respond to an urgent need of an ongoing formation for youth leaders and to equip them with necessary knowledge and skills that would be beneficial in handling the youth ministry.
According to their invitation, two talks are slated during the congress. The first talk will be centered on the theme: ‘Stand Firm in the Faith, Doing all our Work in Love for Life’ and the second talk will revolve on the issue of the Church’s stand on RH Bill.
Speakers for the said congress are still in the process of confirmation but based on the invitation, Archbishop-Emeritus of Cebu, Ricardo Cardinal Vidal will give the keynote address while Archbishop-Elect of Manila, Abp. Luis Antonio Tagle will explain the theme of the celebration.
Aside from talks, the congress will also have as other highlights an advocacy challenge and commitment affirmation, together with a pledge of chastity and symbolic commitment signing of manifesto.
The organizers are expecting 300 youth leaders from all the parishes of the Archdiocese of Cebu. (Jandel Posion)
