DCY Kalibo joins the 1 Million Tree Planting Project Part 2

WORDS FROM THE YOUTH

It was a beautiful bonding with my friends and gaining new friends from other schools, parishes and organizations. We were strangers from one another yet together, we sacrifice for same reason: to help our generation by protecting and preserving our Mother Nature.  It was a wonderful experience and serves as a sacrifice and thanksgiving for our dear Mama Mary on her birthday
-          JENNY ROSE T.  BANDALA,
Red Cross Youth Member
Garcia College of Technology Council

“I hope each young people can plant a tree.  It is not much on how many trees we had planted but how many survived.  I just hope that we will realize the importance of our Mother Earth before it’s too late.”
                                                                                                -  JOHN CHRISTER A. JUSTO,
                                                Member
St. Raphael the Archangel Parish Youth Ministry

“I believe that protecting and preserving the environment are some of the importance of tree planting.  We have to help our Mother Nature to preserve its life. Planting trees are not only for ourselves but we offer it for the next generation.”
-          DIANE LOR A. SOTTO
BSBA 2 student
Garcia College of Technology

The activity filled the hearts and minds of the youth with hope that we will become an agent of change in promoting environmental awareness to save Mother Earth. It is an urgent call as God’s steward of creation to nurture and care for it.

The nationwide Tree Planting activity initiated by the ECY, awakened the youths in the Diocese of Kalibo. They signified their willingness to support and join the succeeding tree planting activities of the Diocese of Kalibo.
