Makisig Morales, a young actor has become the endorser of the National Youth Day and together with his elder sister Mayumi, a singer, were present during the Grand Festival Night last Friday, Nov. 18 at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.
Makisig Morales supports the various promotions of the CBCP Year of the Youth. He is not just a singer and a celebrity but also, a part of the youth who desires to be firm in the faith.
Their appearance stunned the crowd with their voices as they performed songs like ‘Ikaw ang Aking Pangarap’, ‘Stand Up’ and their duet of ‘The Prayer’.
In an interview with Makisig Morales, he thinks that he and his Ate Mayumi were made instruments by God in order to help and encourage the youth to be in the right way.

Meanwhile, Mayumi also wanted to help in reaching out to the youth and is very enthusiastic about it.
“We wanted to serve God and to use the talent that was given to us by Him. Actually, when it is for the Church, we allocate time to be there participating. Participating in this event is not just for the sake of performing but performing to proclaim”, she said.
Morales siblings also said that time management, support of their family and most especially prayer sustain them in serving the Lord through their performances.
“We are enjoying what we are doing that’s why we can’t see the hardship that it gives us”, Makisig added.
Makisig encourages all young people to trust Jesus.
“You must open-up with Jesus Christ to lose what you’re experiencing inside you for you to be free and to be happy”, he said.
Mayumi on the other hand emphasized that there are still young people who lost their way, that’s why they are indeed helping their fellow youth.
“They need to find God because we need to put in the center of everything in order for us to know our self and to know our purpose or task here on Earth. Maybe if you can find that way or path, you can find what you need and will fulfill what you wanted to happen”, she added.
Makisig and Mayumi started to be active in the youth ministry when they were kids by being members of the CFC-Kids for Christ. Now, they are still active in the ministry as members of the Youth for Christ. (Michelle Padilla/Jandel Posion)
