Would you like to be blessed? In the gospel for today's solemnity, our Lord Jesus shared with us who are blessed. Take note: it is not primarily “how”, but “who”. The blessed are the poor in spirit, the meek, the merciful, the clean of heart, the peacemakers... Being is primary to, and more importantthan, doing or having.

Let us remember in prayer all the Filipino people. Through the grace of God and the intercession of all the saints, may we become “a holy nation, a people set apart” for God’s beautiful purpose.
