Novaliches to hold diocesan youth day


The Commission on Youth of the Diocese of Novaliches (COYNova) will culminate the celebration of the CBCP Year of the Youth through a diocesan youth camp on December 10 at the Metro Manila College from 7:30AM-10:00PM.

Organizers said that this year’s DYD celebration entitled “Ignite Nova” will be a gathering of all the youth of the Diocese of Novaliches, most especially of past, present and future leaders.
“It will be a great celebration of faith and ministry that marks a special celebration to the youth ministry of the diocese”, they said.
They added that the DYD aims to enable the participants to have a common powerful diocesan wide experience of God’s love as a culminating event for the CBCP National Year of the Youth, as well as to intensify the sense of belonging of every youth as part of the Parish, Vicariate and Diocese through the presence and dynamism of youth ministries and other youth organizations under the auspices of the Diocesan Commission on Youth.
The organizers furthered that this year’s DYD will serve as a manifestation to the vision of ‘bringing the church closer to the youth and the youth closer to the church,’ through the activities and workshops centered on the theme ‘Stand firm in the faith and do all your work in love.’

The event will be attended by Bishop Antonio Tobias of Novaliches, Fr. Roland Jaluag, Youth Director of the Commission on Youth and other priests who will concelebrate in the Opening Mass for DYD.

An estimated 4,000 participants and guests from the parishes and youth organizations in the diocese such as CFC-Youth for Family and Life, Youth For Christ , and Chiro Youth Movement who will be attending the youth day.

The whole day celebration highlights the blessing and unveiling of the diocesan youth cross; plenary session with Bro. Obet Cabrillas as the resource speaker; workshops; Year of the Youth Awards; community prayer; Youth Got Talent and Jamming Night with showcase of talents and performances of young people of Nova.
